EMERGENCY services including the air ambulance and the coastguard were called to a popular Isle of Wight seaside beauty spot after a man died.
The police received the report a man aged in his 60s died at Freshwater Bay, at 12.07pm today (Sunday, August 11).
Officers went to assist the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service after it received a report of a medical incident at the beach.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance and The Needles Coastguard Rescue Team were also called to the incident.
"The man’s next of kin is aware of this unexpected death and a file will be prepared for the coroner," a police spokesperson said.
