COASTGUARD rescue teams and paramedics went to the aid of a walker who suffered a leg injury in a remote part of the Isle of Wight.
Solent Coastguard received a call at around 7.30pm last night (Friday) the casualty was on Chillerton Down.
After being called to assist Isle of Wight Ambulance Service, the Ventnor and Needles Coastguard Rescue Teams were sent out to the remote location.
In fading light, the teams carried the injured walker by stretcher to a main road, for transfer into the care of paramedics.
The casualty was taken to St Mary's Hospital, Newport.
