AN ISLE of Wight woman carrying a sword was arrested during an incident near Ryde last night (Friday).
At around 8pm, officers were called to the scene on School Street in Oakfield.
They were responding to reports of a person with a Samurai sword.
No one was threatened or injured, police have confirmed.
They went on to arrest a 53-year-old female from Ryde on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon in a public place.
She remains in custody.
