The Niton-based Pepperpot Players are gearing up to perform their most ambitious production in half a century.
Five short plays, under the umbrella title, Two's Company, are to be staged on August 30 and 31, with an additional matinee lined up for September 1.
As each play will revolve around only two actors, they'll be faced with the challenge of swift scene changes on Niton Village Hall's tiny stage.
Director Steve Watts has arranged a system using movable screens for easy storage and swift stage changes.
Tickets cost £7.50 with no booking fees via ticketsource.co.uk/pepperpots, or by calling 0333 666 3366.
He said: "We've worked out how we can store the sets we need behind movable screens, so we think that by the time I've introduced the next play, we'll be ready to go.
"It's going to be fast and furious - and rather cosy backstage for our performers!"
The plays promise a variety of engaging conversations, and Watts reckons that the audience would revel in this 'fly-on-the-wall' format.
He added: "We think the audience will love being a fly on the wall as these conversations take place.
"There will be lots to laugh about, but there are also some tough and tender moments, just like real life."
