The County Press was lucky enough to join Ventnor Bay Charters for a one-hour boat trip to discover the beauty of the Isle of Wight’s southern coastline from the best vantage point – the water!
(See our gallery of photos above!)
Nestled in the picturesque seafront, Ventnor Bay Charters began offering boat trips last month and is quickly making waves.
We departed Ventnor Haven and travelled west, passing Steephill Cove, Woody Bay, Spindles Folly and onto St Catherine’s Lighthouse.
At a steady six knots, there were plenty of opportunities to snap the perfect shot and take in the scenic backdrop of rugged cliffs, secluded coves and the stunning sunset.
Returning to Ventnor after sunset, we found the town lit up in layers, starting from the Esplanade all the way up to Ocean View Road.
Unfortunately, no dolphins wanted to visit us, but others have been much luckier! (See video below)
As well as the coastal trips, the company also offers private charters for people to explore further afield.
One-hour trips are available daily, departing from Ventnor Haven.
