Firefighters tackled a BMW fire in the centre of an Isle of Wight town this lunchtime (Wednesday, July 31).
Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service were alerted to reports of a vehicle fire on George Street in Ryde.
The County Press understands a blue BMW caught fire shortly after 1pm near the entrance to the Co-op.
While Ryde firefighters dealt with the incident, there was no access in or out of the Co-op car park due to the emergency vehicle blocking the road.
The fire team used a hose reel jet to put out the blaze before leaving the scene at around 2.30pm.
