Popular Isle of Wight attraction Robin Hill has a new owner, nine months after going up for sale.

Lee Priddle, who runs AMP Hire Ltd, has told the County Press he has completed the purchase of the site.

A spokesperson for Vectis Ventures, which owned Robin Hill for nearly 30 years, said: "We wish him every success with his future endeavours at the site.”

Contracts were exchanged last week, with a deal now completed.

As previously reported, earlier this year, a company named Robin Hill Partnership Limited was incorporated, with Mr Priddle as its sole director, according to Companies House.

Last week the County Press reported Warrior Festival, which has previously been staged at Smallbrook Stadium and Sandown Airport, will be held at the site this September.

Robin Hill first went on the market in October 2023, with a guide price revealed as £2.25 million.

At the time, Vectis Ventures, owned by the Dabell family, said the decision to do so was necessitated by a prolonged period of financial turbulence.

It added the sale of the Downend site, near Arreton would enable the company to clear its debt.

Robin Hill is found on 88 acres of rolling parkland, natural woodland and Island countryside gardens.

It also benefits from planning consents for holiday accommodation to include 19 tree houses, 23 lodges and 40 glamping camps.

The car park has 1,500 spaces and 12 coach spaces.

Vectis Ventures also owns Blackgang Chine.

AMP Hire Ltd provides portable toilet hire on the Island for the construction industry and events, including festivals.
