POLICE has put out an appeal for information after a flasher was seen at a popular Isle of Wight beauty spot.
At around 8.30am yesterday (Tuesday, July 30), a woman in her 20s was walking along a footpath at Tennyson Down, towards Green Lane, when a man ran past her.
The woman then noticed the man come to a halt further down the path, where he then exposed himself and committed an indecent act while he was looking in the woman’s direction, say Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary.
The man then walked off along a path heading towards the chalk pit.
The suspect is described as being white with a pale complexion with short, mousey-brown hair, slim build, about 5ft 8in tall and aged in his 20s.
He was wearing dark blue shorts and a green Nike T-shirt, which had a Nike tick logo on the right hand side of the chest.
Officers investigating the offence, have been conducting inquiries in the area and are keen to hear from anyone with information that can assist.
"Do you know who this man is? Have you seen him in the area? Did you witness anyone acting suspiciously in the area that day? Have you experienced any of this type of behaviour in the area previously," the police asked.
Anyone with information should contact the police on 101, quoting 44240324550.
