A controversial village housing development and proposals for a major new Isle of Wight leisure park go before planners tonight (Tuesday).
Topping the agenda for the Isle of Wight Council's planning committee, is Middleton - a 130 home scheme earmarked for Bembridge.
Plans have been met with dismay from residents and a protest was held in the village, which included Lady Sally Grylls and TV actor and comedian Marek Larwood, who both live there.
Among the main concerns for campaigners are flooding, traffic and whether the properties would be 'affordable', as promised.

Behind plans is Captiva Homes, which believes if the land is to be developed, it should be done by an Island housebuilder such as itself.
The development is recommended for conditional approval.
Meanwhile, fresh proposals for a major new commercial and leisure park on land next to the Isle of Wight Airport are back before planners.
An application seeking outline permission to build Sandown Employment Park is recommended for refusal, however.

Plans are to construct 12 commercial units/buildings, between Scotchells Brook Lane and Newport Road, Apse Heath.
It is suggested the scheme would create 500 jobs.
Tonight's meeting gets underway from 4pm.
