WIGHTLINK passengers will experience delays of around 30 minutes on one of its routes throughout today (Saturday) until later afternoon, following a medical emergency this morning.
The 8.20am Fishbourne to Portsmouth crossing was delayed by 40 minutes after a passenger suffered a fall.
The accident happened as the ferry was being boarded and an ambulance was required.
The incident has had a knock on effect on the running of the timetable on the route, say Wightlink.
"Delays of around 30 minutes are expected on the Portsmouth-Fishbourne route, until late afternoon, after a medical emergency earlier this morning, " a Wightlink spokesperson said.
"Wightlink apologies for the inconvenience to customers and staff are doing all they can to get back on time."
