A crash on a main Isle of Wight road has prompted an emergency response this lunchtime (Friday, July 26).
Police were called to reports of a two-vehicle collision on Briddlesford Road, between Newport and Wootton, near Briddlesford Lodge Farm, shortly after midday,
It is understood that the collision involved a Renault Zoe and a Ford Transit van.
A spokesperson from Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary confirmed that minor injuries have been reported.
Briddlesford Road remains open in both directions, but delays are to be expected.
