Cowes Week officially returns tomorrow for 2024 (July 27 – August 3), promising eight days of fun-filled maritime entertainment.

More than 500 boats, racing in over 30 different classes, are set to take part in the world's longest running regatta.

As well as the sailing, usual live music and entertainment, visitors will be treated to a number of other events shoreside.

A day before the official launch, here's a rundown of what to look forward to in Cowes today (Friday, July 26).


Cowes Parade

Marking the start of Cowes Week 2024, the Parade will host various food, drink and entertainment offerings between 5pm and 10.30pm.

Special Brew, an Island-based covers band, are playing classic rock to modern and contemporary from 7pm to 8.30pm.

Blue Botherers will bring their blues and soul music to the Parade from 7.30pm to 10.30pm.


Cowes Yacht Haven

At the Yacht Haven, Emelia will open the entertainment from 5.30pm to 6.30pm, followed by Barefoot Graves at 7pm to 8.30pm.

Hanging Baskets Duo, playing an eccentric mix of folk, pop and rock classics, will close the evening between 9pm and 10pm.


The Globe

Playing upbeat singalong and dance classics, Steve Stimson performs from 5pm to 7pm.

Direct from Tenerife after their European Tour, Dance Monkeys will see you through the 80s, 90s and 00s from 8pm to 11pm.


The Anchor

At The Anchor, live funky dance floor fillers from the 70s to the present days will be performed by Funk Soup from 9.30pm to midnight.


The Fountain

Classic rockers with loads of style, Storm will play between 7pm and 9pm.


The Duke of York

‘One of the best cover bands in Europe’ will be taking the Duke of York by storm when Brando perform live from 8.30pm to late.

The capacity is 500, so be early not to miss your spot!


Commodore's House

From 1pm to 10pm, Commodore’s House will have a pop-up wine bar, featuring wines from Sea Change and local beers.

The venue, bursting with sailing heritage, boasts uninterrupted views across the Solent.


Foresters Hall

From 7.30pm to late, Foresters Hall hosts its Mediterranean Night.

There are only 50 tickets available for the pre-booked Mediterranean buffet, open to all one a first come, first served basis.
