An Isle of Wight meat company has recalled several products due to hygiene and legislative concerns, making them 'unsafe to eat', the Food Standards Agency (FSA) has said.

The Isle of Wight Meat Co, based out of Cheverton Farm, has recalled four biltong products.

This includes the company's Biltong Original, Biltong Sweet Chilli, Biltong Garlic and Biltong Black Pepper.

All packs, batches and best-before-date codes up to and including May 2025 are being recalled.

Biltong is a form of dried, cured meat that originates from southern African countries.

The FSA said the products have not been prepared in line with food hygiene and legislative requirements, making them unsafe to eat.

If you have bought any of these products, do not eat them.

Instead, take a photograph of the packets, destroy them and email orders@chevertonfarm.co.uk with the photo for a full refund.
