A MAN accused of forcing his way into an Isle of Wight pre-school, attempting to strip off his clothes and causing staff to put the facility into security lockdown, will see his case go to trial.

Edward Myatt, of St Margaret's Glade, Ventnor, denied common assault on a member of pre-school staff and using threatening and abusive words or behaviour, likely to cause harassment, alarm and distress, at the St Francis Primary Academy site in Ventnor, on March 12.

He gave his pleas at the Isle of Wight Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, July 16.

The 40-year-old was bailed to reappear for trial on November 27.
