AN ISLE of Wight man accused of playing his part in a vicious joint attack on a man left unconscious and with a broken jaw, will stand trial.

Reuben Brown, of Trinity Road, Ventnor, denied inflicting grievous bodily harm, without intent, with an accomplice, on a man, outside Tramezzini restaurant, High Street, Ventnor, sometime between December 9-12, 2021, when he appeared at the Isle of Wight Magistrates' Court on Tuesday last week (July 16).

A man was taken to the Queen Alexandra Hospital in Portsmouth for treatment.

The 27-year-old, who elected to face a trial by jury, was bailed to reappear for a plea and trial preparation hearing, at the Isle of Wight Crown Court, on August 15.
