What police are calling an 'altercation' involving a group of boys, led to officers attending an Isle of Wight seafront.
Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary was called to Gurnard just after 8pm on Friday, July 19.
Police said there was an 'altercation' involving two boys, on the seafront between Egypt Esplanade and Prince's Esplanade.
However, reports on social media suggest the incident involved a group of six boys and one boy.
The boy is 'ok' but 'shaken', comments said.
Police said officers attended the seafront and spoke to the boys.
The case has now been filed, they said.
