Flower beds on an Isle of Wight seafront have been wrecked overnight, prompting anger from residents.
Pictures show plants strewn over the floor on Ryde Esplanade, on the stretch of path and road between the bus station and the Ryde Superbowl.
Islander Mark Feakes said it was "upsetting" to see the damage on his way to work this morning.
Taking to Facebook, he asked: "What is wrong with people these days?".
Isle of Wight councillor for Ryde Monktonmead, and Ryde Town councillor, Karen Lucioni told the County Press the damage represents a clear "lack of respect".
She said it's a common misconception that CCTV doesn't work in the area and she has asked police to check it, in hope of finding those responsible.
She said: "It’s one of my goals within my role on the Isle of Wight Council and the newly formed Ryde Town Board to try and deal with anti-social behaviour.
"Some may think it’s only flowers however, to me, it represents the lack of respect some have for our town and community."
