TRAFFIC delays are likely when a main Isle of Wight route is closed on Tuesday night next week (July 23) to allow utility works to be carried out.
Shanklin High Street will be closed from 7.30pm on Tuesday, through to 6am on Wednesday (July 24).
The work is being carried out by Southern Water.
The High Street, between its junctions with Orchardleigh Road and Steephill Road, will shut.
An alternative route will be signposted locally — a diversion active via Orchardleigh Road, onto Victoria Avenue.
