British adventurer, television presenter and former Islander Bear Grylls has been enjoying the pleasant weather on the Isle of Wight.
Born Edward Michael 'Bear' Grylls in Northern Ireland, the former SAS trooper spent his childhood growing up in a cottage in Bembridge.
From an early age, he learned to climb and sail with the father, who was a member of the Royal Yacht Squadron.
Bear's mum, Sally, Lady Grylls, who he was visiting on the Island, is a champion of the Island branch of Admiral Nurses, which specialises in dementia care.
Sharing a post on his Facebook page, Bear wrote: "Lovely day visiting my mum in the Isle of Wight..."
In photos, Bear and his mum can be seen supporting Mountbatten IOW during a stop on Ryde Esplanade.
