A drink and drug driver reached speeds of between 80 and 100mph along an Isle of Wight country road, before crashing into a hedge following a police chase.
Marcus Burgin, of Camp Road, Freshwater, appeared at the Isle of Wight Magistrates' Court on Friday, July 19.
The 25-year-old pleaded guilty to charges of drink and drug driving, failing to stop for police and driving without due care and attention.
On December 29, police spotted a vehicle on Dodpits Lane, near Chessell, and were drawn to the manner and speed at which it was being driven.
Officers pursued the vehicle before activating their blue lights and a short pursuit followed, Liz Miller, prosecuting, said.
The vehicle drove straight into a hedge and police noted how it was travelling at speeds of 80 to 100mph.
A roadside breath alcohol reading and drugs swipe on Burgin both came back positive.
At Newport Police Station, Burgin registered a blood alcohol reading of 113, when the legal limit is 80.
He was also found to be over the limit for BZE — a derivative of cocaine.
Defending, Jim Osborne, asked for a pre-sentence report.
He said Burgin is "deeply remorseful".
Magistrates agreed to the report, adjourning the case to September 27.
Burgin was granted unconditional bail and given an interim driving ban.
