Temperatures on the Isle of Wight could reach 29 to 30°C in some parts today (Friday), as a mini heatwave sweeps across the south east.
A heat health alert is also in place for the Island, issued by the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) and the Met Office.
The Isle of Wight Met Service predicts a hot and sunny day once any early cloud has moved away.
Temperature in parts will reach 26 to 28°C but it could be as high as 29-30°C in a few central and northern areas.

Tomorrow (Saturday) will be another fairly warm day with sunny spells at first but the cloud will thicken up with the odd shower later in the day and overnight.
The Met Service is forecasting temperatures between 21 and 23°C but around 18-19°C in the south and west.
Sunday is expected to be a reasonable day with a mixture of cloud, occasional sunny spells and perhaps the odd light shower.
Temperatures will be around 20 to 22°C but 18-19°C in the south and west, the Met Service said.
The heat health alert is in place until 11pm tomorrow.
