Ryde Academy held its annual Awards Ceremony at All Saints Church in Ryde.

Parents, carers, and staff joined to honour student triumphs of the previous academic year on July 11.

The ceremony was started by vice principal, Will Doyle.

Student awards were given for highest achievement, best progress and perfect attendance.

The Academy Council Award was presented by Professor Toby Salt, chair of Ryde’s Academy Council.

Teigan Long, a Year 10 student, won the award, recognising her personal progress and helpfulness to others.

The Principal’s Award went to Daisy L, a Year 9 student, for her remarkable input to the student council.

Will Doyle, vice principal, said: "We are incredibly proud of all our students for their hard work and dedication throughout the year.

"This ceremony is a wonderful opportunity to recognise their achievements and inspire them to continue striving to ‘be remarkable!"
