We have just had a team of Island Roads men working in Copse Lane, Freshwater, and I think they deserve a big thank you for all their incredibly hard work resurfacing a lot of the road — and also for being so helpful and pleasant.
They had to drill to get the old road surface up, before fresh Tarmac could be put down.

Sometimes it was hot, sometimes it rained, but they just worked away cheerfully. It must be such tiring work.
Sometimes people get quite grumpy at having the roads unavailable, but it's work that obviously has to be done if we want to keep our roads open.
So, thank you to you all, you were amazingly cheerful, and we all appreciate you. God bless you!
