An independently-owned Isle of Wight bedroom furniture retailer has announced it is relocating to a 'bigger' town centre premises.
Solent Beds and Furniture is taking over the former Poundstretcher and Courts Furniture Store building on Newport High Street.
For the last ten years, the retailer has been based from a shop at Savoy Court, Town Lane, Newport.
It also has a building at Riverway, Newport and a flagship superstore in Lake, which opened in April 2006.

The business also has two large Island warehouses, stocking many of their most popular furniture lines.
Leases on both current Newport shops are due to expire later this year.
The firm plans to close both and merge them into one, bigger site at the former Poundstretcher, which has sat empty for a number of years.
Before opening the new store, the building will undergo a 'comprehensive internal refurbishment'.
David Sparkes, from Solent Beds and Furniture, said: "The new site will complement the Lake store, allowing us to showcase the largest top brand furniture and bed collection locally."
Current Newport sites, Savoy Court and Riverway, are now offering re-location sales (while stocks last).
A further announcement regarding the opening of the new store is expected soon.
