Also, thick, black smoke also drifted around properties in the area of Lake Green Road and Percy Road.

It is believed there were no casualties.

The Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service called out the crews at 6.49pm today (Thursday).

A fire service spokesperson told the County Press: "The fire is believed to have started in the shed area of the property and has spread to a house and vehicle."

Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used two main jets and two hose reel jets to tackle the blaze.

Fire control has said a camper van at the address was alight, though it was initially uncertain whether the fire spread from the camper van or the shed.

The fire service advised householders in areas affected by smoke, to close their windows.

The fire was declared as out just before 10pm, with crews "scaling down" their presence at the scene, with two fire crews remaining on site to damp down.
