A motorcyclist has suffered what police are calling serious injuries following a crash on the Isle of Wight's iconic Military Road today (Thursday, 11 July).
Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary was called to a single vehicle collision at 11.45am.
The crash happened between Brook Chine and Compton Bay, near Hanover Point, as previously reported.

Officers described the crash as 'serious'.
The road was shut between Freshwater Bay and Compton Bay car park.
Police said the motorcyclist sustained suspected serious injuries.
He was taken to hospital for treatment.
