Pupils and parents at Medina House school on the Isle of Wight dressed to impress at their prom evening treat.

It was the first time Medina House School in Newport hosted a 'formal' prom, which included a disco, sit-down meal and presentation.

The school's theme was to dress to impress, and each pupil received a personal achievement folder, a gold star balloon and a Medina House teddy bear.

Christopher Berry, Medina House headteacher, said: "A fun time was had by all, and it was fantastic to see our pupils (and parents) dressed so smartly and managing such an event when everything (and everyone) looked so different to when they attended school in the day.

"It was an amazing and emotive evening filled with celebration and pride!"
