A capsized dinghy in Freshwater Bay prompted an emergency lifeboat response yesterday evening (Sunday, July 7).
The Freshwater Independent Lifeboat was sent to investigate reports shortly before 6.30pm.
Upon arrival at the boathouse, it was clear that the vessel had overturned, leaving four people in the water just south of Freshwater Bay.
After a swift launch around Stag Rock, the lifeboat crew found that the casualties had managed to right the vessel and row into Butterfly Bay.
On-land coastguard headed to assist the dinghy crew and assist them back round to the safety of Freshwater Bay.
At the Freshwater Lifeboat Station, where medical assessments took place, the casualties were met by the Needles Coastguard Rescue Team.
All four dinghy crew were de-briefed and sent on their way safe and well.
