Ventnor's Graben sewer repair works will finish a week ahead of schedule, Southern Water has announced.
A spokesperson said: "We are pleased that the work to repair a section of displaced sewer on Newport Road, Ventnor, will be completed ahead of schedule and the road will reopen from 5pm on Saturday, June 29.
"On Friday, we will be completing the final phase of Tarmacking - the Tarmac will need at least 24 hours to cure.
"We will then begin removing the majority of the fencing, which will reduce the size of the site and remove equipment no longer required. Fencing will remain in place around the active working area.
"On Saturday, we will remove the remaining equipment and fencing from site and complete final safety checks.
"Traffic management will be removed as the site reopens and the full road closure will remain in place until 5pm on Saturday.
"We are grateful for the support and patience of local residents and apologise for any inconvenience caused."
A one-way system has been in place to get in and out of Ventnor via Whitwell, all week.
