AN ISLE of Wight man has apologised for his behaviour after verbally abusing a bus driver and a woman.
Jack Hinch, of Burt Close, Shalfleet, appeared before Isle of Wight magistrates on Tuesday, June 25.
The 21-year-old admitted using threatening/abusive words/behaviour likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress, in Yarmouth, on May 18.
Prosecutor, Liz Miller, said Hinch was verbally aggressive toward a female member of the public and a bus driver.
She said in police interview, he admitted he was drunk, riled up by another male, and his behaviour toward the bus driver was aggressive.
Hinch, unrepresented, said he acted upon self-defence and felt threatened by the bus driver.
He apologised for his behaviour and was fined £133.
He was also ordered to pay costs of £14 and a £63 surcharge.
