A YOUNG Island woman tragically given just months to live at the turn of this year, is a big fan of Jessie J and came to the Isle of Wight Festival to see her perform.
Cassidy, of Ventnor, has end stage heart failure, with a terminal prognosis, is receiving palliative care.
The former St Francis Primary and Island Free School student, has a series of painful terminal medical conditions — including a severe terminal rare genetic skin condition, severe dilated cardiomyopathy, ventricular tachycardia, scoliosis, joint dislocations and postural hypotension.
Her cousin, Jodie Lacey, set up a fundraiser to help provide Cassidy with comfort, specialised equipment and fun treats.

Singer, Jessie J, is Cassidy's hero and went to Hampton Court to see her perform there this week too.
"Cassidy has such complex health issues and is an inspiration to us all on how she has embraced her life so far, even volunteering at the local children's centre," said Jody, who describes Cassidy as being selfless.
"She never ceases to amaze me, with her smile, strength and resilience to all that she has had to endure since birth."
