ISLE of Wight Festival headliners The Prodigy were back with a bang last night (Friday), reminding festivalgoers of exactly what they bring to the table.

Their live performance, as always, was full of that same energy and exuberance which catapulted them to the very top of the electronica scene all those years ago.

Their setlist comprised all the fan favourites, including Firestarter and Breathe, and a special laser projection was beamed across the crowd.

It was their first performance at the Isle of Wight Festival since 2015, and their first since the sad loss of frontman Keith Flint in 2019.

Ahead of their set, The Prodigy’s Liam Howlett was also seen driving Wightlink’s Victoria of Wight ferry from Portsmouth to the Fishbourne.

He took control of the wheel for a time and blew the ship’s whistle.
