AN American rock and soul band is returning to the UK for a special set at the Isle of Wight Festival this weekend.

Three-piece, Darnell Cole and The Vibe, will be performing on the Kashmir Cafe stage.

The groovy ensemble centres around frontman Darnell Cole, who performs alongside fellow band members Jit Chatterjee on drums and Elliot Lawrence on base guitar.

Their soulful music, often borrowing from other genres – the likes of funk, Rnb, Jazz, metal, and even Bengali – promises to take festivalgoers on both an emotional and spiritual journey.

The band say they’re on a mission to spread the gospel of rock, soul, and positivity, and speaking ahead of their set, Darnell said: “I am so stoked to be back in the UK, a place where my music is truly appreciated.

“I'm looking forward to melting faces, spreading the good vibes like clotted cream, and putting the kettle on!”

You can catch Darnell Cole and The Vibe’s set on Saturday, at 5.30pm.
