Welly wanging and tomato tossing competitions will light up the Isle of Wight County Showground on August 31.

The event, organised by Wessex Cancer Support, will draw participants to compete in numerous categories.

The objective is to hurl wellies or tomatoes as far as they can to clinch the winning trophy.

With several fun activities lined up, it makes for the perfect family outing.

Tickets to see the action are priced at £4 with children under five enjoying free admission.

Participants can register for the contest at £6 per category.

Proceeds from the event will be donated to Islanders battling cancer.
