A SEX offender on the Isle of Wight due to be sentenced last week for flouting the terms of a judge's ten-year court order, will now learn his fate next month.
Edward Addison, of Grafton Lane, Sandown, who admitted the breach of a Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO), at Portsmouth Magistrates' Court on May 11, appeared at the Isle of Wight Crown Court last Friday (June 14).
Addison, 76, had failed to make a device available, on request for inspection by a police officer, at Newport Police Station on May 11.
Tim Devlin, prosecuting, said Addison had initially refused to disclose his PIN number to the police, for a device he owned, to allow officers to examine its digital contents.
The SHPO, for a ten-year duration, was made to Addison by Chester Crown Court on March 10, 2016.
Judge James Newton-Price adjourned sentencing and remanded Addison in custody until his next hearing on July 26.
