Teen Pokémon champion, Cassender 'Cass' Morey, from the Isle of Wight, has won success in Stockholm, Sweden.

In May, Cass finished an impressive 16 out of 1,300 players.

Later this year, the Dutch regional champion, whose favourite Pokémon is Torchic, is aiming for Hawaii - and the chance to be named 2024 World Champion.

Cass is so good at what he does that Pokémon has agreed to pay for his travel to the World Championships in Hawaii, in August, to allow him to play for the ultimate title.

Cass had been due to play in New Orleans this month, June, in the North America Finals, but was sadly unable to compete, due to illness.

In 2023, Cass, accompanied by dad, Ian Morey, travelled to Japan to play and often beats players much older than him.

Cass has previously competed in Bilbao in Spain, France, Poland, Malmo in Sweden, and Germany.
