Isle of Wight businesses are celebrating, after being named winners at the UK Hair and Beauty Awards 2024.

In Newport, Allsorts Hair and Beauty came tenth in the UK for best bridal salon, also winning a highly recommended award.

Newport-based nail salon, Canvas10, secured a place in the UK top forty, for businesses of its kind.

Its founder, Ella Topping, said: "Canvas10 has come a long way in just under a year.

"This journey from a single rented desk to a deluxe salon is a testament to the hard work, creativity, and resilience of the Canvas10 team.

"Securing 38th place for Best Nail Salon in the UK, amid such tough competition, is a dream come true.

"We owe this success to our loyal clients and the unwavering support of our local community."

Also placing in the top 50 was Odessey's Academy in Newport.

The family-run salon's team said: "We cannot believe it! 

"We have been in our new salon since January this year and have built an amazing team - officially Odessey’s family.

"Thank you to all of our customers who have supported us, we are forever grateful for your continued support."

Ambitious Nails and Beauty in Newport is also celebrating a top 50 finish in its category.
