A power cut has knocked out traffic lights at the top of the dual carriageway in Newport on the Isle of Wight.

The lights, at the busy junction on Medina Way, are currently out of action.

Island Roads is aware and workers are installing temporary lights.

A spokesperson said: "Delays likely, please take extra care if you have to use junction."

The outage has been caused by a power cut in the PO30 5HT postcode area.

Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks (SSEN) says 29 customers are affected.

SSEN engineers are working to restore power.

Island Roads said it will issue an update when the lights are back up and running.
