WHEN you are out and about around the Isle of Wight this coming week, be sure to know which roadworks to avoid.

Here is a list of some of the roadworks and associated closures.

RYDE: Appley Lane will shut during arboricultural works, between its junction with the car park at Appley Park and its junction with Appley Road, for three shifts between Monday, June 3, and Wednesday, June 5, or when works have been completed. 

Newport: Dodnor Lane will shut during wall reconstruction works, from its junction with Parkhurst Road, for ten shifts between Monday, June 3, and Tuesday June 14, or when works have been completed.

Godshill: Beacon Alley will shut during maintenance works, between Bagwich Lane and Whitwell Road, for two weeks between Monday, June 3, and Tuesday, June 14, or when works have been completed.

Shanklin: Godshill Road will shut during road marking works, between Apse Manor Road and Peacock Close, for five shifts between Monday, June 3, and Friday, June 7, or when works have been completed.

Newport: Home Meade will shut during carriageway repair works, for one shift between Monday, June 3, and Wednesday, June 5.

Also, Ash Road will shut during footway repair works, between Furlongs and Muddy Lane, for one shift between Monday, June 3, and Wednesday, June 5.

Totland: Moons Hill will shut, between its junction with Middleton and its junction with Briary Lane, for one shift between Tuesday, June 4, and Thursday, June 6.

Freshwater: Afton Road will shut during drainage works, between Southdown Road and Freshwater Footpath 52, for three shifts between Wednesday, June 5, and Friday, June 7.

Yarmouth: The Glen will shut during utility works, for its entire length, from 8am on Monday, June 3, until 6pm on Friday, June 7.

East Cowes: York Avenue will shut during utility works, between its junctions with Castle Street and Ferry Road, from 8am on Tuesday, June 4, until 4pm on Friday, June 14.

Wellow: Wellow Road will shut during utility works, for its entire length, and Main Road for 250m, between 8am on Tuesday, June 4, until 8pm on Friday, July 5.
