Sandwich shop Subway is expected to reopen one of its Isle of Wight branches next week, nearly three weeks after it was temporarily closed.
The Town Lane, Newport store has been shut since May 14.
The County Press has been told the reason is because of a faulty meter, which led to an electricity outage.
The Newport store is one of two on the Island - the other being on Union Street, Ryde.
Both are now being run by a new business partner, named Navan Kohli, who will oversee day-to-day operations.
Mr Kohli told the County Press his aim is to make the stores more "efficient".
He hopes to have the Newport branch back open by Monday, June 3.
