Roadworks mean there will be diversions along an Isle of Wight seafront overnight (Wednesday).
Starting from this evening, 'essential manhole maintenance' is taking place on Ryde Esplanade.
During this period, buses and taxis will operate from Union Street and parking is suspended along the lower half of the road.

Traffic coming from Union Street will not be able to travel along the esplanade towards Dover Street, but access to the pier will be maintained.
St Thomas's Street will also be made one-way. Traffic coming off the pier will have to turn right and head up St Thomas's Street.
Works are being carried out between 8pm and 5am.
