An Isle of Wight filmmaker has released a comedy pilot starring Blackadder and Game of Thrones actor Tim McInnerny.
DEAD is set in an incompetent funeral home on the Isle of Wight, portrayed by brother and sister duo Ruby and Kelly, played by Arron Blake, of the Isle of Wight, and Joanna Bool.
The twist? They inherited the family business unwillingly, and now they're stuck running it for five years before they can escape the morbid humour of their lives and leave the Island.
Created by Arron Blake, who draws inspiration from his upbringing on the Isle of Wight, DEAD promises a fresh take on dark comedy.
Arron, along with Joanna Bool and Darius Shu, explore the absurdities of life and death in a small community.
Arron said: "Our pilot episode features none other than Tim McInnerny, known for his roles in Game of Thrones and the upcoming Gladiator film alongside Paul Mescal.
"His involvement adds an extra layer of star power to the project.
"We were overjoyed that Tim McInnerny wanted to be part of our project and gave us huge encouragement for the rest of the series, which we're currently seeking additional funding for, with hopes of presenting it to major broadcasters like the BBC and Channel 4.
"The response we've received so far has been overwhelmingly positive, and we're incredibly grateful for the support everyone has given us."

Arron's aim is to get DEAD made into a full-blown series.
