Dimbola Museum and Galleries, originally home to trailblazing Victorian photographer Julia Margaret Cameron, is celebrating 30 years since it was established.

The museum not only honours Cameron's historic contributions to photography but also exhibits diverse works from around the globe.

Over the years, it has curated numerous exhibitions, workshops, and events, fostering a community of passionate artists, scholars, and enthusiasts.

To mark the milestone, Dimbola has organised a schedule of daytime events, culminating in an invitation-only evening party.

The event is hosted by vice president of Dimbola, Jules Cameron, who is also Julia's great great great granddaughter.

Guests can expect to be served cocktails by the Isle of Wight Cocktail Company and canapés by The Albion Hotel.

The main exhibit features the work of Lisen Stibeck, a contemporary Swedish photographic artist who shares artistic parallels with Julia Margaret Cameron.

Born more than a century apart, Dimbola has discovered that the artists share an unwavering devotion to the craft, an exploration of the feminine experience, and the manifestation of dreamlike realities.
