WHEN you are out and about around the Isle of Wight this coming week, be sure to know which roadworks to avoid. Here are some of them worth noting:
FRESHWATER: Queens Road will shut during carriageway CCTV survey works, between its junctions with Bedbury Lane and Locksley Close, over one shift sometime between Monday and Wednesday.
Also, Middleton Road will close during street furniture bollard repair works, between its junctions with Court Road and Freshwater footpath 40, over one shift sometime between Monday and Wednesday.
Alternative routes will be signposted.
SHORWELL: Russell Road will shut during drainage CCTV survey work, between its junctions with Starks Close and Corve Hill,. over one shift sometime between Tuesday and Thursday. An alternative route will be signposted.
NEWPORT: South Street will close during carriageway repair works, between its junctions with Cockrams Yard and Newport Bus Station access road, over one shift sometime between Tuesday and Thursday. An alternative route will be signposted.
ARRETON: Blackwater Shute will shut during lining works, between its junctions with Longdown Lane and Arreton footpath 31, over one shift sometime between Tuesday and Friday, May 31. An alternative route will be signposted.
PORCHFIELD: Thorness Lane will close during carriageway repair works, along its entire length, over one shift sometime between Wednesday and Friday, May 31. An alternative route will be signposted.
NEWPORT: Rowridge Lane will shut during carriageway repair works, along its entire length, over one shift sometime between Wednesday and Friday, May 31. An alternative route will be signposted.
WOOTTON: Rectory Close will close during carriageway repair works, along its entire length, over one shift sometime between Wednesday and Friday, May 31. An alternative route will be signposted.
EAST COWES: John Nash Avenue will shut during carriageway repair works, between its junctions with York Avenue and Oak Tree Way, over one shift sometime between Wednesday and Friday, May 31. An alternative route will be signposted.
ST LAWRENCE: Woolverton Road will close during excavation and investigation works, between its junctions with The Cliff Path and Undercliff Drive, over three shifts sometime between Wednesday and Friday, May 31. An alternative route will be signposted.
NITON: Pan Lane will shut during utility works, along its entire length, from 8am on Wednesday until 4pm on Friday, June 14. There is no alternative route.
GODSHILL: Bathingbourne Lane will close during utility works, between its junctions with Macketts Lane and a point 100m south thereof, between 9.30am and 3.30pm on Monday. An alternative route will be signposted.
TOTLAND: Jameson Gardens will shut during utility works, along its entire length, from 8am on Tuesday until 4pm on Friday, May 31. There is no alternative route.
NEWCHURCH: Newchurch bridleway 42 will close during utility works, between its junctions with Youngwoods Way and Skinners Lane, from 8am on Tuesday until 4pm on Monday. An alternative route will be signposted.
