Concerns for the welfare of a woman prompted a large emergency response to an Isle of Wight seafront in the early hours of this morning (Monday).
Coastguard teams from Bembridge and Ventnor were called to Ryde Esplanade at around 3.30am.
The coastguard search and rescue helicopter from Lee-on-Solent and a lifeboat from Ryde Rescue were also tasked to assist.

Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary also attended.
A spokesperson for the force confirmed police responded to a concern for welfare incident at Ryde beach.
After a lengthy search, coastguard teams stood down at around 8am this morning.
The woman was eventually found, safe, by police on Union Street just after 7.30am.
