The popular Isle of Wight Takeover returns this weekend, offering car enthusiasts the perfect opportunity for a driving holiday with their car club and friends.

The event, held at the County Showground near Cowes, welcomes car clubs from near and far, combining the thrill of a driving holiday, exciting competitions like the Rev Off and Audio Battle, interactive features such as the Live Dyno and a friendly atmosphere that promotes community.

Car enthusiasts of all ages and interests are sure to find something to enjoy at the annual event.

In addition to the automotive attractions, the IW Takeover Car Show embraces the community spirit by hosting a Doggy Show.

The event takes place across this weekend, see the agenda here.

This event welcomes attendees to bring their furry friends and participate in various dog-related competitions and activities.

The Live Dyno adds a unique element to the car show, allowing participants to measure and display the power output of their vehicles.

Tomorrow (Saturday), participants have the opportunity to collect their wristbands and show guide during the daytime.

As the sun begins to set on Saturday, the atmosphere transforms into a celebration at the Takeover Party.

In addition to the main arena, this year’s Takeover is introducing the all-new Family Zone, featuring live magic and paper plane workshop, character visits from Enchanted Island, a car colouring competition, bouncy castles and carnival side stalls.

Due to poor signal and no longer having a WIFI connection, card readers are not a working option at the Takeover, with organisers announcing that this year’s event is cash only.
