AN exciting new event is being planned for the summer holidays on the Isle of Wight.
Ventnor Pirate Festival is set to take place on Saturday, August 17.
There will be pirate displays and games from 2pm on the Esplanade.
The day will culminate with Ventnor Illuminated Carnival at 9pm.
Ventnor Pirate Festival is encouraging fancy dress for participants and visitors, including pirate puppies and decorated pirate prams.
