An 18-year-old who threw a Dairylea Dunker at a support worker’s head will be sentenced for assault later this month.
At the Isle of Wight Magistrates’ Court on Friday, May 10, Lorelei Fisher of East Mead, Shanklin, pleaded guilty to assault by beating.
Prosecutor Lauren Stone said Fisher was confronted by a support worker, who worked at the address Fisher was staying at, on April 24.
The support worker had spotted that some Dairylea Dunkers had gone missing from the communal fridge.
Ms Stone told the court that the support worker suspected Fisher of taking the snacks, which she initially denied, before showing the support worker an empty pack.
The court heard that Fisher pulled a second Dunker out from down her trousers and threw it at the support worker’s head.
Fisher then picked it up and threw it again before an argument ensued – lasting ten minutes – and concluded when the support worker injured their arm in a door, Ms Stone said.
The offence was committed whilst Fisher was on bail.
Oscar Vincent, defending, requested magistrates to order a pre-sentence report and grant his client unconditional bail.
Magistrates agreed and adjourned the case until May 28 for sentencing.
