SWASHBUCKLING pirate fun featuring a TV children's favourite, was the order of the day at popular Isle of Wight annual family-fun event, Riverfest.
Hundreds of people descended on Newport Quay throughout the day (Saturday).
The programme of entertainment, organised by Newport Carnival and Community Events Association, was led by CBeebies star, Gemma Hunt, who also presents hit children's show, Swashbuckle.

The day featured the Pirates Parade, from St Thomas’ Square, to The Quay, led by the Vectis Corps of Drums Marching Band, with a cannon sounding the official start of the festival this morning.
Due to its popularity last year, the main stage was larger, featuring plenty of talented young entertainers, and there was plenty of interactive activity, oodles of commercial and charity stalls and promotional stands.
The emergency services were very well represented too, happy to chat to visitors.
