ISLE of Wight ferry travel is expected to be disrupted yet again as Red Funnel announces a cancellation and timetable revision next week.

Sailings on the Cowes to Southampton Red Jet passenger service are being cancelled following another issue with Red Jet 6.

On Friday, May 17, the 6.30pm departure from Cowes has been cancelled, with a revised timetable of sailings the following day, Saturday, May 18.

Red Funnel said the disruption is due to "necessary repair works in relation to the inboard hub seal".

Recently, there were cancellations of the Red Jet 6 due to ongoing repairs on the vessel's coolant pump.

Red Funnel has apologised for any inconvenience the new arrangements will cause customers.
